FEEDING TIME!!!
I thought you would like a few more pictures to wake up to.
Today they let us feed the kids. You can see bolat was unhappy with my progress. They had us feed them huge bowls of Kasha with a table spoon. this thing wouldn't fit in my mouth and it certainly didn't work for them and cups of milk (like coffee cups) You stick the bowl under their chin and shovel it as fast as you can. forcing in one bite after the other. Then wash it down with a nice warm mug of milk.
We took the kids outside and stayed with them for 6 hours today. We fed them again later but this time it was a huge bowl of mashed potatoes and mashed meat with a hunk of bread thrown in. This is food we would eat. (well not us but somebody) We are anxious to get them home so we can feed them the way a baby should eat.
While outside today we played some with the other children. Most of them are not available for adoption because their parent are still around somewhere. It is sad, they watch in amazement as we play with our kids. Gulnara, our coordinater over here. (the lady with alia) says they act very jealous. But what can we do other than try to spend a little time with them. we still were not allowed to take a picture of them but one of the little boys today was throwing a huge fit and we asked why. she told us the caretaker that had just wheeled 2 kids back into the babyhouse. (in a 1 seater) was taking them in for their snack and he knew the schedule so well that he was afraid they would get snack before him. He just laid down in the grass and cried. (Holly and I did too) Another of the kids just sat. He was old enough to play but I guess saw no need in it. I went to him and touched his arm and face to see if he would respond. He looked at me as if I was nuts. I have to say some things I will never understand.
Well back to Alia and Bolat (Andrew & Elizabeth) I keep using there names because here they seem right. Alia is a bundle of joy. not like her picture we saw those weeks ago. The Doctor/Director had another story on her for us today. She said for Alia is always so sad, she never smiles until yesterday. Then she told us that Alia stayed awake most of last night again, not unhappy just saying allowed Papa, papa. She said she has never seen a child act this way after only one visit. She said it with tears in her eyes so I can't help but believe it but just for the record, I haven't heard any words at all.
Bolat is another matter. He is wonderful but is not the happy boy we all saw in the video. He is sick and there is nothing we can do for him until we have them in our possesion. we have many medicines but are not allowded to give them. We ask you all to pray for him. I believe he will be fine but Holly is beside herself since we have to wait on giving medicine. We have proven though that nothing can match the power of prayer. so again I ask, Be in special prayer For Bolat (Andrew)
we will be on-line later tonight. remember we are 11 or 12 hours ahead of you.

Up early trying to get off to Bobby's wedding. Having trouble getting printer to work. Wanted to take prictures of you'all (4) to the wedding. Everybody looks great. Got to go. Wedding at Louisville in five hours.
Love Mom and Dad
Holly, we are praying, especially for Bolat, but I know his body is strong and the joy he has now found is going to make him stronger. It must be so hard to be a Mom and not be allowed to do what you believe would help.
It sounds like the new parents may be returning with their bundles of joy proud but thinner! I hope you can find something to eat that you also enjoy.
Love and Prayers times 2

Good morning (here at least) Sweethearts...all of you. So good to hear from you even tho some of your words made me cry. We still want to hear it all, good and sad. Such darling pictures, I would tell Poppy to make this one our screen saver, then we'd scroll down and I'd say no make this one. Loved the one of them looking at each other but then really liked the one of all 4 of you relaxing. Guess we"ll have to learn how to make the scrolling screen. So much to learn.
Old Pop used to tell me I was going to choke Sara feeding her so fast, she was just like Alia and Bolat (Bo latte)(like the coffee) for those who don't know. It sounds a little better than Bo Lat
:-).
Speaking of Sara, she probably won't tell you but she got in a nest of wasps last night. She is ok, or was last night. John laughed at her for running and throwing the weeds she had in her hand over the fence before she ran and got into the pool.
She just never thought of throwing them down and jumping into the pool.
I'm trying to keep you updated, like you asked, without rambling on :-)
Love Mom
Thank you for sharing...everything. It helps to know exactly how to pray. It is amazing how much love we can see on this end just by the pictures. I'm so blessed to be able to witness it all. Andrew and I are checking this several times a day to keep up. You are in my thoughts and prayers all day.
Love,
Kristin
Hello Again
I love the picture of Bolat and Ali on the blanket enjoying each others company! I am so glad you get to visit all together, instead of one child at a time as we wondered
It is a wonderful site to see your family.
God has blessed!!
Sara

The pictures are beautiful, and as everyone has already said, we are so thankful to see them everyday. We will be praying for all of you, and especially for Andrew. But, I know that God will take care of him Holly, I know taht as a Mom, it's hard not to take control. You know I'm the one who freaks out with every sniffle--don't do what I do (do what I say do) :)
I don't know how to catch you guys on line. Do you post here, on the Blog?
Looking forward to more pictures and updates!
Karen
Hello all. I apologize for not replying sooner. We love reading all of the comments.
Sara, how bad are the stings? you are supposed to tell us what's going on there too. How was the girls first day of school? We didn't think to ask at the airport. Keep posting and thanks for praying. Also don't fret about me getting thin. I've been getting plenty of sugar off of some cute cheeks.
Mom and dad, I wish I could really explain how things are here but you just can't. It is all just as was described to me from other adoptive parents. And even though they were accurate descriptions, I didn't get it until I saw it myself. thank you for keeping in touch and praying for all of us. Especially Bolat. we have honestly considered lately keeping that name and Alias' but probably we will keep Elizabeth and Andrew.
I find my mind thinking in broken english already because that is a ll I hear. It feels like we've been here for weeks and in reality it is only the second day. I sure do love America
Sam and Holly,
We are and will continue to pray...But now you know why a Delaware boy can sound like a hillbilly, thats all I hear at the plant! I love the pictures, keep them comming. The girls are still out of town with the V-ball team, I am sure they will be on here as soon as they get home.
Love you Guys,
John
Beautiful Babies! They have Holly’s eyes and Sam’s hair! I’m glad you got such young babies although your life will be somewhat busy for a few years. It’s a good thing that grandma is nearby. I’m sure she’ll enjoy taking care of them as much as we enjoy Natalie. We just got back from a weekend babysitting in Denver. Erin and Edmund wanted a weekend away so we reluctantly agreed to go. You sound very happy. Those are two very lucky babies. I hope your trip continues to go well and that Andrew gets better once you get him home.
