Driving us crazy

Are you enjoying the pictures???? We sure are enjoying them from our end.
First, let me explain the 6 hour visit we had today. That will not be normal but our driver took the
director to another town to get Alia an official birth certificate. So we got to stay and play. Tomorrow our visit will be only
2 hours again. :O(
Second let me explain the date on the pictures. we are ahead of you but only by 11 hours so the reason the dates are wrong is that
they are making me change the dates on my camera halfway through the visit so we can get all the date stamped official pictures that the judge requires.
In case something comes up that we can't take the pictures. Also their date over here is day-month-year.

Now let me tell you about our first trip to the babyhouse. I think it is a little over an hour away but to be honest I couldn't say.
It is kind of a White knuckle hold on for your life ride. If Disney had a ride like this I would never agree to ride it.
Out of the city there are no middle lines. Actually there are no lines at all. They have been totally worn off by drivers crossing it.
If you want to pass and there are 2 cars in front of you, then you go around (inside/outside) it doesn't matter. Some even choose to go between which is
a very interesting ride. It's something like playing chicken on a 4 car wide potholed parking lot with a few assorted pedestrians & animals thrown in.
I know a km (and I assume that is what their cars measure) is only a little over a half a mile. but it is somewhat disconcerting to see a car coming
straight at you, A cow on the road beside you, and the speedometer reading over 140. All the while drivers are honking (and honking, and honking) and
shouting at each other. Throw a dog, loose but dragging his leash down the middle of the road into the mix and you have got a ride Universal would be proud
of.
(Did I mention the potholes!!) The worst part is they take it as an insult if you wear a seatbelt and we've yet to see anyone wearing one. Although the
way they drive, I guess they wouldn't want to be strapped to the wreckage. The Lord has brought us halfway around the world unscathed.
I guess he can hold us in our seat for a few more trips!

I threw in a picture of the entrance to our apartment. Don't let the pictures fool you, entering here after dark and climbing the 5 flights of stairs
with no lights on
while carrying more money than you've ever had before in your life is not a cozy feeling.

I tell you all this in jest, things are exactly as I describe them, but We are having the time of our lives

Hi Holly and Sam,
It sounds like the world you have been transported to isn’t the most comfortable, but I trust you will not lose your comfort in God. I am praying Philippians 4:13 for you both, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” When facing the physical and emotional trials, remember, perseverance and patience are a breeze for our God, call on His rich supply! You’ll be home in no time! Until then, inhale every experience God has for you there. Our prayers continue!

I just got on to see who might have posted on your site...what a surprise to find you have been here again!!

My wasp stings are minor (thankfully I have never been allergic) It was more funny than long lasting. I am thankful it happened to me and not some unsuspecting child that is coming over tonight. We are expecting about 40 people in a couple of hours. Just wait till I show them these cuties.

I still am fond of the names Andrew Bolat and Elizabeth Ali. Bolat has a way of growing on you and there is so much history with the name.

Hey you two! We love you both for all of the times of laughing together. It doesn't matter if we are sitting across the table at dinner or on opposite sides of the world. Peyton had a ball game today and it was hot hot hot!! Mason stayed with Mam and Papaw. We love you both and are praying for all of you, with a little extra for Bolat. Can't wait to hear more stories. Laughter is good for the soul! Keep on keepin on.....Christy

HOLLY, Before I forget, why the hats, everyone keeps asking me. I told them maybe to keep down ear infections...but we inquiring minds want to know...

Just got home from Doug and Teresa s wedding. It was real nice..the bride looked very pretty and the groom looked proud. A very nice day. Don't get all4 sisters together very often.

I practically have the Blog memorized I've gone back and reread it so many times...I bet Poppy does have it. He was home alone all day. John talked like I stay on the computer so much...We expected that didn't we...
What I didn't expect was to see Poppy on it sooo
much. Oh, well that is why we bought this thing.

Sam another of my favorite pictures is the one of Bolat looking up at you from his stroller. When I copied the days letter, to take to Aunt Lela, it cut that one off.. Sara copied just the picture for me than I walked off and left it. Sorry

Saw where John and Kathy, from New York, have been following your trip.
Dave keeps saying we might be surprised who all is, well Jane and Otis s friend from Minnesota is following it too. Woost, if you see this, send them a good word. smile
Love from Mom

Whitney, When you get a chance e-mail me and tell me about how coach got thrown out. Sounds like a fun weekend.
You are going to love these kids.!!!
Nanny, they pronounce it a little different here but what we heard on the tape is what Gulnara calls him. (She loffs (loves) him). I guess the e y sound at the end is a term of affection like the y on pop or nan. Love yall but have to go
