Gotcha day

Sorry for the delay, we have been a little busy.
It's hard to describe the emotions from today. From fear to complete peace with everything in between. Truly a beauty from Ashes kind of day.
How does God make the perfect piece to complete our family puzzle and then have us find it on the other side of the world?
From the time we walked in the room she seemed the perfect fit for us. If we were nervous she settled our nerves quickly. She was the calmest baby in the room. In the videos you might hear other babies crying but not our girl.
She is so gentle and quiet. We never heard anything from her until we got her back to the room and tried to take her clothes (3 layers) off and give her a bath. She let us know she wasn't planning on a bath today and we felt bad for insisting on it. I planned on showing you guys a video of her first bath with us but we cut it short and unless you are into crocodile tears you wouldn't want to see it.
Andrew and Elizabeth have been great with her. and are hanging on her every movement. If she blinks they are fascinated.
I figure you guys would rather see pictures than hear me go on and on so without further ado......

Hannah and the orphanage director..She got us lots of pictures of Hannah as she has been growing:O)

Our first meeting with Hannah

Playing ball with mom and her siblings

Playing ducks with mom

Hanging with big brother and big sister

And snuggling with dad. She fell asleep on me during the bus ride home. I had to give her up to Holly because I had a few chores to do.

And finally, nap time...Andrew kept asking, can't we just wake her up and play????

cheerio girl

first meeting

playing with the duck

I will try to tell you more later. hope it was worth the wait. It certainly was for us.....

Thank you Lord for such a great day!!!!!!!!!

I saw part of the first video....love it. It's taking so long to download it I got impatient and accidentally got off it. Gotta start again but just had to say...it was great. The pictures too. Can see that she has already captured her daddy's heart with that snuggle. Can see, too, that the kids are facinated to the max. Glad all is well. Thank you God for your loving kindness and mercy. I knew yu would watch over them.

From the looks of the 2 videos I've seen she looks like she can take care of herself when A. tried to take her cherrios away. :O)
Someone said that I have another grand to spoil...I'd say she is getting all that she can handle for now. Bet she will eat it up.
And we will eat up that sweet nature. Such a blessing and is such a cute package.

She is just beautiful and so happy prayers have been answered and the transition was smooth (minus the bath experience). Why so many layers of clothes? You all have on short sleeves. Praying for good rest for all of you and another great day together :) Love and prayers to each of you.....

Holly-I can't help but think back to Myanmar and our roommate discussions about what it would be like for you to finally hold your baby girl. So thankful to our Faithful God for giving you such a precious moment! Thanks for allowing all of us to be a part! Love you guys!
