your picture fix
Holly and I did much better on the feeding today. It was very smooth and everyone was happy. I think the caretakers gave us a break and didn't fill the bowls quite so much today. but now We probably messed up by letting them go to sleep. They know their schedule very well. and when it is close to noon the are going to sleep no matter what you do. About 5 minutes till they both were out. It was so sweet having them go to sleep in our arms. Tomorrow I am sure we will be scolded for allowing it.
These 2 are going to have a lot of fun growing up together.
I tried to keep them up with piggy back rides but you can see they are tired. Bolat has latched on to a ball we brought. They don't like them sleeping with toys but we couldn't pry it from his hands even after he was asleep.
Bolat tried a piece of the melon today and seemed to enjoy it. I guess anything with taste is good.
This is one of the caretakers at the babyhouse
Bolat has been checking out baby and scooter. (All the families photos are also in the book)
Alia is not quite as brave as her brother. you will notice a wide eyed lok on her face very often.
We are well, The night is cool. Cold air is blowing in from the mountains and we got a little rain today. It should be a good night for sleeping so I am going to take advantage.
Pray for us but don't worry. we are healthy (mostly) and happy. we would eat that rotten fish if we had to to get these babies home. The judge has not decreed it but make no mistake about it, They are ours!!!!!
Love to all

You and Holly look great!!
Can't wait till you are home!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sara
Nick & Rachael Shahan here - we are so happy for you both and extended family and friends. Your little ones are ADORABLE and can't wait to see them in person! Ya'll are and will be great parents. Thanks for keeping us updated and thanks to Aunt2B for sharing the blog link with us!
Neither can we but it gets easier every day to stay here. I do wish I could explain better how things are here. We hit every emotion in the book daily. Many things here I don't understand. Why did we get to grow up like we did While other go through this, why Bolat and Alia and not the other kids in the babyhouse? My mind swims but so far it is staying above the water
Son, you take us through all those emotions too...
It's great, guess our lives will be pretty dull again when you finally do get them home and settle into a routine.
Bolat with a ball and Alia with her wide eyed look..he is definately a boy and she a girl. It's great. Love Mom
Just got back from the kennels with your other, BABY ...
She was a "Wild Injun" when I picked them up. First thing when out of the truck at home, was a swim in the lake, Then attact Scooter. They are still outside playing, thrilled to be free from that kennel stall.
You'all (4) look GREAT...
Enjoy your ADVENTURE as much as possible... Love DAD...
Ok! I never get this much computer time. But because I am doing this long-term sub your website just stays up in my classroom. I promise I won't post again for a while...but, these are the best pictures. So clear and up close...I love it. You are both just glowing. You two are going to make great parents. They are beautiful!! Peyton and Mason have loved looking at the pictures and have lots of questions. Still praying....Christy
Knowing your concern for your other, "Child" ...
Here is an update on her condition.
I pushed my swim to 3/4 of a mile today .... and guess who swim part of the way with me ????
Your "Brown Fuzzy BABY" is made for swimming. Only problem is,, she tries to swim too close, way too close. Like on top of you sometimes!!! I'm gona work with her and by the time you'all get back I hope to have her "Free- Style" stroke perfected.
Love Dad
Will make no such non posting promises. It is hard to believe that we can keep up with each other better when you are half a world away than we can when you are home. You guys wear "Mom and Dad" very well.
sam and holly: Just got in from the monday golf tournament(my team won)Its sure a treat to see all the pictures. It seems redundant to say that they are good looking kids. I'll say it anyways. They are good looking kids.Hope you all can find a holman house. The food sounds awful. Thanks as usual for keeping us posted. love poppy...
Hi there!! I have to say you are all glowing!! The best pictures yet... Emme and I can't wait until you guys get home.. Take care and we will continue our thoughts and prayers.. Cindy Hahn
Hey guys, was doing our new Bible study today and came across something that really seemed to parallel you guys. Hosea 11:1-4
1 When Israel (Andrew and Elizabeth) was a child, I loved him (them), and out of Egypt (Kazakstan sp?)I called my son (and daughter).
2 The more they were called, the more they went away (had to go around the world to "find them"), they kept sacrificing to the Baals and burning offerings to idols (would have probably never been introduced to Christ if not for you two).
3 Yet it was I who taught Ephraim (A. and E.) to walk; I took them up by their arms, but they did not know that I healed them (A. may never know how much it has pained you to not to have already begun his healing).
4 I led them with cords of kindness, with bands of love, and I became to them as one who eases the yoke on their jaws (they have no idea now how much) and I bent down to them and fed them.
If that is not you guys, I just don't know what is. God's love for his own is already mirrored by you guys love for your own. Hug them for us. Sorry for the length.
The pics are beautiful. The kids are beautiful. You guys are...well, beautiful, too!!!!
Thinking of you!
Karen
P.S The principal has not given us anything but a hard way to go. :(
Replys to all
Mom, I think it will be not so boring when we get home. By then their energy should be up and we will need help.
Babysitters, We knew our baby was in good hands when we left and going to the kennel was probably a good thing. It gave her a great homecoming and might keep her mind off of us. We miss her bu would rather she didn't miss us. We look forward to getting back on the farm with all of you. (Don't forget to slip her a few extra snacks)
Christy, not post? Why? I wake up in the middle of the night/day and run check this thing hoping someone has. we look so forward to hearing from everyone back home.
Kent, Holly and I agree that you could post and not sign in and we would know it was you. Keep the sarcasm coming. Thanks for the short bible lesson. We get very little of that here. We have agreed that the only way we will be successful as parents is if Alia and Bolat accept Christ. Anything else and our lives were wasted.
Poppy, Your team seems to win quite often. I knew you played better without me around. I would love to play sometime after we get home. Here I don't think they know the game.
Aunt Nancy, you and hannah will have to come see us soon after we get home. You have many reasons for coming our way now.
Cindy and Emme, we are glad you to are enjoying following us. Keep putter out of trouble and Emme, you will have to show the babies around church when we get back.
Mary beth and Karen,(both adoptive parents) you 2 more than most would know what we are going through. It is hard but every minute fun. Thank you for your help on this journey. Beautiful Karen? even me? I thought not.
Got to go, the warden just woke up, opened the window and it fell out in her hands. I must fix.
Love to you all,,,
Ok, you twisted my arm...he he he. It seems weird that we are winding up our day and you are just starting yours. So, Good Morning to you both and I hope you have another sweet, sugary kind of day! Those cheeks have to be the best...Good Night for now...Christy
Ask and you shall receive. I must admit, that bedtime was a little sweeter tonight than usual. Christy and I "character read" a storty to the boys and then off to bed to watch their Veggie Tail movie. Normally it can get a little hairy. Pulling out all of the stops with every conceivable stall tactic, topped of with can we sleep with you?. Hearing you guys open your book for the first time and begin on page one (dare I say this) makes me somewhat green with envy. I know that they are only 6 and 3, but just last week (it truly seems) we took them to Daytona Beach for the first time together and they were 3 and 15 months. Cherish, cherish, cherish. These are the good old days...........
I just keep coming back for more!!!
I get on and look at your pictures, get off and get back on and look again.
THANK YOU!!
John and I have been painting in the basement. fun,fun Could I use Andrew and Elizabeth as incentive?? Maybe I would get more accomplished. You know me always gotta have a reason. And they seem like the best reason for anything.
Gotta go...Whitney is here and we are doing the french pedicure thing. Girl stuff :) :0
