Sunday, Sunday

As Elizabeth mentioned, yesterday was another long day..
What we thought would be a quick flight turned into all da,. and even when we got to Guangzhou we had to circle the airport for almost an hour before we landed.

After all that we took today to try and catch up on our rest and fill our bellies which is much easier in this city.
We have lot's of appointments and things to do the rest of the week so today was nice. Besides, it rained most of the day so we didn't feel guilty staying in.

After all the rain, we did get out and explore a little. The streets are super cool and I hope we can get some good pictures of it sometime.

We stepped in to a local market and as you can see the aisles are so narrow that I was hard keeping young Lukes hands off of everything.

We saw a sign for some local chicken,,,,,,

But fortunately we ran in to an old friend and decided to have supper with him :)

I'm glad you get a day of rest as you call it, I prefer a day just getting to know the newest member of the family, which is of course what you did;) I'm claustrophobic looking at the city picture. The buildings are so tall to this Paducah girl. And I'm thinking many Americans would have trouble getting through the aisles of that market. Advertising is way different too, because no American would want to buy chicken after that promo. We are so different! I've noticed Hannah is missing from several pictures and since you are the photographer I am pretty sure she is clinging to daddy:) haha I can see she loves her new brother but he hasn't trumped Good ol Dad. love to all! 6 days and counting...

Was so good to hear from you guys.
Everybody needs some down time every once in awhile. Just wish you had more room to enjoy. Love seeing all the pictures and can't get over how cute and loveable Luke looks. Bet you never thought you'd be so happy to see a McDonalds...smile.
Andrew says the real paper work and stuff starts tomorrow.
I went on line to see if I could fine something on the ghost cities you talked about. The first one I saw was in Mongolia and absolutely amazing. It looked like a beautiful city complete with huge statues, huge library and beautiful apartment buildings and a museum. You might see a person every once in awhile. Spooky. Wonder what their plans are for such a place as some places are actually being still worked on.
Still missing you all and looking forward to Sat. night. Praying your flight is on time.

Once again I forgot to sign my post. You can probably guess by all the rambling but it is so much easier to post anonymous. Love Nanny
